Alive and kicking over here!
I have had quite a loaded busy and wonderfully hectic last few weeks, busy time of the year for everyone indeed!
this year I have fallen in love with musical melodies and the romance during the Eighteen Century Classical and Romantic Era. I incorporated some elements that I thought would grasp that times feel by incorporating the one and only Marie Antoinette, Queen of France.
the tree is filled and literary stuffed with feathers, roses, classical miniature orchestra instruments, Marie Antoinette’s most “priced” possessions, shoes! just to name a few…
as I was hanging and stuffing, and dangling and posing as if I were a painter whose master piece is evolving before her eyes, I notice a pivotal element missing; LACE! aaaaaaaaah! ok, “Keep calm and have a piece of cake” were the words spoken by this French Queen said (no body really knows).
I took some plain light blue ornaments balls and glued some lace as if forming skirts and topped it with a ribbon bow, this actually turned out to be just perfect. I also added lace to the bird-cage and to the cake stands ornaments.
Some ornaments were either recycled from last years decoration and/or altered to match the themed
